Women of The Cre8tors - Jess Batson

  1. What does being a woman in this industry mean to you? Women have always played a vital role in shaping this industry, even though our perspective was often overlooked. As a woman, I’m proud to bring my unique voice and a bright, playful energy to the projects I work on. I love infusing my feminine touch into the things I create and it feels empowering to be part of a movement where more women are being seen, heard, and celebrated for their contributions.

  2. Who are some women—past or present—who inspire your work? It’s hard to narrow it down because there are so many incredible women who inspire me. Right now, I’m really drawn to Nadia Lee Cohen—she’s behind the Skims campaigns and I’m completely captivated by her work. I admire how she blends raw grit with sensuality, all while embracing femininity in such a bold way.

  3. What’s a project or piece of work you’re most proud of, and why? I’ve spent a lot of time honing my style and crafting work that excites me, which has helped attract the work I’m drawn to. I take pride in the creative journey I've embarked on and feel fortunate that brands resonate with the aesthetic I've cultivated. A recent highlight for me was the Sullivan University campaign. We spent several days building out colorful tabletop worlds for their photo and video campaign and we all just felt really proud of the end result. The spots ended up playing regionally in the Super Bowl, which was a proud career moment for me.
